A delightful and free introduction to horses, the CNE's interactive horse program returns this year and takes place from July 27 to August 15!
It is a wonderful engaging program that takes place from 11 am to 2 pm each day in the two weeks before the CNE opens.
Designed for the young and the young at heart, HorseCapades sweeps you away from city life and into the magical world of the horse.
Giddy up! This year HorseCapades once again features free Pony Rides for kids.
- Discover how a horse thinks, acts and reacts
- Experience what it is like to ride a horse
- Pet a horse
- Guess a horse’s weight
- Meet horse friends
During the fair, elements of the HorseCapades program will move from the Horse Palace to the Farm in the Better Living Centre’s West Side.
If coming by TTC, it is recommended that you take the 509 Harbourfront or 511 Bathurst Streetcars to avoid construction zones. These routes end at the Exhibition Loop which is the closest stop to the Horse Palace, where HorseCapades takes place. New this year is a free shuttle service for those arriving to HorseCapades by TTC on the 504B King Streetcar or the 29 Dufferin Bus (with its last stop being at the Dufferin Loop on the northwest side of the Exhibition Place grounds). Please proceed on foot from the Dufferin Loop to our train shuttle stop (near Kids’ World) for use of this free shuttle service to our HorseCapades event. The shuttle service will only run from Monday to Friday during our HorseCapades event. Please Note: there will be no shuttle service during the Civic Holiday on Monday, August 5, 2019.
